Sonoma Heights is a newer community located in the Woodbridge neighbourhood of Vaughan, Ontario.
Just 30 minutes from downtown Toronto, this area is bounded by Islington Avenue to the east, Major MacKenzie Drive to the north, Highway 27 to the west, and Rutherford Road to the south. Neighbouring communities include Humber Ridge (north) and Belvedere Estates (south).
Sonoma Heights' primary retail centre, Islington Village Centre, is located at the corner of Napa Valley Avenue and Islington Avenue. A central greenway and trail system bisects the community from north to south.

As mentioned before, the community is also bisected by a wide greenway and trail system, excellent for jogging, biking, or just getting around the area.
The Sonoma Greenway links together a number of parks, doesn't have any steep ups or downs, is accessible from numerous points, and is approximately 2.6 kilometres in length.
Nearby amenities and area attractions just beyond Sonoma Heights' borders include the Al Palladini Community Centre (with ice rink), the Pierre Burton Library, Longo's Supermarket, St. Philips Bakery, and the Vaughan Lorna Jackson YMCA. All this is in addition to the various services, banks, restaurants, and popular chains that you would expect.
